Database

A database is a stored and organized collection of information that can be manipulated for desired purposes. IBM defines a database as 'a collection of interrelated or independent data items that are stored together to serve one or more applications.' There is no organization or business that doesn't collect data. Governments, hospitals, banks, universities, social media platforms such as Facebook, and other big companies are among those who collect and build data in order to manage businesses more effectively to improve security, provide better customer experience, or simply have better sales.

Database design and management are very important in today's information systems. When a database is well-designed and properly managed, it can help organizations store and organize data efficiently. This can lead to better decision-making and improved services for customers. Good database design and management are essential for success in today's data-driven world. Various tools and techniques are available for database design and management, such as data modelling, database normalization, SQL, and data backup and recovery.
